Two Nigerians arrested in Bengaluru with drugs worth ₹1 crore

Two Nigerians Caught while selling Narcotics in TC Palya, Bengaluru

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Bengaluru have arrested two Nigerian nationals for allegedly selling narcotic substances to students and recovered drugs worth ₹1 crore.

 

Nigerian men Rosalini Ernist (40) and Lovent Osasogi (30) were residing in Tambu Chetty Palya (TC Palya) in Bengaluru. They were allegedly smuggling in narcotic substances from neighbouring countries and sold them to the students in the city. They also supplied these drugs to high-profile guests in Bengaluru.

 

Acting on a tip-off, NCB officials arrested the two cocaine smugglers and confiscated 115 gms of cocaine worth ₹1 crore. Also, 30 gms of MDMA commonly known as ecstasy and 0.25 gms of LSD (Lysergic acid diethylamide) were confiscated.

 

Apart from smuggling drugs, the two Nigerian nationals have been staying in India even though their visa and passport were no longer valid.

 

They have been produced before a magistrate and are in police custody for now.
