As per the norms of Kerala Police Act and the Supreme Court orders on similar instances, the state government should  site valid reasons before removing a DGP in charge of law and order. But in his case, the government order did not mention any reason for the removal, Senkumar pointed out. The former police chief also stated that he was not transferred but got degraded.
