Pulsar Suni, the main accused in the case, had resolutely denied the role of others in his blackmailing plot. Police is yet to identify the two cars that followed the vehicle of the actress.

Giving more credence to conspiracy angle in the assault on the popular Malayalam actress, police have found that three vehicles had followed her car on the night of the abduction. After close examination of surveillance camera footage from different parts of Kochi, the investigation team found that three vehicles, including the Tempo Traveller which hit the actress's car near Athani from where she was abducted, had followed her.
The new information further complicated investigation in to the assault on the actress. Pulsar Suni, the main accused in the case, had resolutely denied the role of others in his blackmailing plot. Even after the police found the mysterious presence of two more vehicles following the actress on the night of the abduction, Suni refused to divulge details of other conspirators.
Earlier, it was assumed that the actress's car was followed only by the Tempo Traveler which the abductors used to hit on her vehicle and intercept it near Angamali. Pulsar Suni and one of his accomplice entered her car and drove past while the others followed in the Traveler. The new information that some others were also following the actress on that night can be crucial for the investigation team. If the police managed to identify the cars that followed the actress's vehicle, it could change the course of the investigation.
Suni's accomplices in the crime had no clue about the other vehicles while the police suspect that the main accused was shielding information to save somebody else. The police had arrested Manikandan, Salim, Pradeep and Vijeesh, who are known criminals in connection with the case. The investigators are now convinced that Suni kept his plans secret even from the gangsters he hired for the purpose.
As Pulsar Suni remained stubborn and appeared to have got training to face the interrogation, the police sought permission from the court to conduct narco analysis of the main accused. But the court rejected the plea as Suni refused to undergo the test.
The police team is yet to recover the mobile phone used by the accused to record the visuals of assault on the actress, a vital evidence in the case.
