Thief returns stolen bike, apologises for the act

Two days back we had reported a how a man lost his brand new bike in a split of a second. Now there is a new twist to the story, the youth who stole the bike has returned the vehicle. The man has also placed a letter apologising for his act.

"Brother sorry, I took your bike due to an emergency, please forgive me for the trouble and please don't lodge a police complaint," the letter reads.

The theft that took place in broad daylight in the heart of the city had shocked everyone including police officials. The thief's face was clearly visible from the CCTV footage gathered from the area and police was on the hunt for the man.

Kaviraj, the owner of the bike, is clueless on what made the thief change his mind but is happy anyway that he got his bike without too many hassles.

The incident happened last week when Kaviraj had parked the two-wheeler outside his office in Vellayambalam. When he returned after 10 minutes the bike was gone.
