Teen actress gangraped in Kerala, Cops hunt for accused women

Special Investigation Team SIT) probing the gang rape of a minor actress in Kllam confirmed the involvement of more persons, including women, in the case. Police have so far arrested only one person, Faisal, the main accused. 
 

The 16-year-old girl had in a statement given to police said that two women, working with an event management company, were also involved in the incident. The women allegedly took the girl to the crime spot under the pretence of a birthday celebration. 
 

One of the women, Reshma, a native of Kollam, is already in police custody in another case. She was arrested for allegedly blackmailing a businessman threatening to expose his 'revealing' pictures. 
 

The police are on the look out for another woman and two more men involved in the incident. 
 

The incident took place eight months ago. According to the complaint, the women took the girl to a deserted house in the pretence of a birthday party and assaulted her. The prime accused had old the girl that they would go to a movie location as soon as the party was over. The girl, had earlier acted in two short films. 
 

Meanwhile, Congress alleges that the police is trying to sabotage the case.
