Tamil Nadu: Spurned Facebook stalker stabs 21-year-old girl

In another case of a stalking-related crime in Tamil Nadu, a 21-year-old girl was stabbed by a man in Coimbatore, after she refused to his advances.

Kanagalakshmi was stabbed by a 28-year-old man, who had been stalking her on Facebook and later had proposed to marry her.

According to Times of India, Kanagalakshmi was stabbed with a broken bottle by her Facebook stalker -  A Vemburaj, who is civil engineer is employeed in a construction company in Chennai.

He recently was able to find out her mobile number and again tried to convince her to marry him.  But when she refused his proposal, he decided to visit her in Coimbatore.

On 3 November, he confronted her at the bus stop near her college, where he stabbed her with a broken glass bottle. He has been arrested.

Back in June, Tamil Nadu was left startled after a 24-year old Infosys employee was stabbed to death by her Facebook stalker.
