Students make offers to exam professors in answer sheets

Recently, a remark written on an answer sheet by an undergraduate student left the evaluator angry and interestingly, this is not a stand alone case.

The remark that written by the student is “Please pass me, please. I want to study M.Com. If I fail again in this subject, my parents will force me to get married. I don’t want to get married, I want to study, please pass me.”

According to a media report, undergraduate students in various colleges affiliated with Bangalore University are writing such remarks on their recently concluded semester exam's answer sheets leaving the evaluators and professors shocked, confused, and angry.

The report suggests, evaluators are finding such remarks on a daily basis which checking the answer sheets. Some degree students are also leaving their mobile numbers with an offer to bribe the evaluator to get the passing marks.

This trend to write remarks has also seen in engineering courses and in some cases abusive language has been used by the students. As a result, the university authorities have withheld some results, and evaluators have approached the authority to take stricter measure to stop such incidences.

The university has also asked the evaluators to keep a record of such answer sheets to trace the students to take appropriate action from next semester examination.

Such incident is a sheer mockery of the education system that is the primary medium to ensure a brighter future of the nation. Earlier, in the infamous case of Bihar topper Ruby Rai, the student who topped in Political Science, a subject she thought was about cooking confessed to writing movie names, random poetry and the word Tulsidas on her answer sheet.

This case captured national attention, but no concrete action was taken to prevent such incidences across the nation.
