The fight between two corporators of Rajarajeshwari Nagar Assembly constituency, BJP's Mamatha Vasudev and Congress party's GK Venkatesh took a dramatic turn with both the parties accusing each other of running a goondaraj in the constituency.

Mamatha Vasudev met the Bengaluru police commissioner and complained that she and her family have been threatened by GK Venkatesh. Vasudev reached the police commissioner's office with the office bearers of Bharatiya Janata Mahila Morcha.

In her complaint to the police, Mamatha stated that she and her family is spied upon and whenever she goes to inspect any work, some unknown people surround her. These criminals are hindering her public work.

As Mamatha approached the police commissioner, GK Venkatesh took to social media. He alleged that at the behest of Mamatha and her husband Vasudev, the forest officials were forced to cut an old tree at Muthyalamma Temple in Jalahalli. While cutting the tree, a huge cobra was cut into many pieces, shows the video.

He claimed that the incident happened on June 29 and he lodged a complaint with the Jalahalli police. However, he failed to furnish a copy of the complaint.

On the other hand, it came out that the tree was about 300 years old and was completely hollowed by termites. It would have fallen any time jeopardising lives. Hence, the forest officials cut the tree. They, however, were unaware that the hollowed trunk of the tree was home to a cobra, which was cut into many pieces.
