Kerala students' startup develops smart purifying water bottle

 

This smart water bottle purifies 750 ml of water in just 2 minutes! It removes odour and bad taste if any. The stylish bottle, which could be controlled using a mobile app, will remind you to drink water at regular intervals too.

But what makes it very special is that it was developed by a startup of engineering students from Kottayam in Kerala. 

 

The water filter used in the 'iBo Lamaara smart purifying water bottle' can clean up to 1,000 litres. The smart bottle, which costs Rs.800, operates on rechargeable battery and is a funky way to prompt you to drink water. The purifier in the bottle can be controlled by a mobile app developed by the students.  

 

The smart water bottle, developed by a startup company of students of St.Joseph’s Engineering and Technology at Pala in Kottayam, is likely to hit the market soon. The students gave wings to their innovation in a startup boot camp held at the college by Kerala Startup Mission.

 

Kerala Start Up Mission,the nodal agency for implement the government's startup policy, has been giving training to students for developing entrepreneurship and grooming student startups in the state. It's programmes cover a broad area from schools, colleges and to young entrepreneurs. The smart water purifying bottle is the latest in the products and innovation from the mission.
