A raid on a farmhouse owned by a criminal lawyer revealed quite a few surprises.  A jackal pup, some tortoises and 50 kilos of Sandalwood were seized. Despite the seriousness of the crime, the cops seem wary of pursuing the case.  

In a shocking incident, the CID raided a farm house of a criminal advocate of Karnataka found several wild animals, including a jackal pup.

According to sources, 'Drona Nature and Adventure Academy', a farm house belonging to the advocate, was raided on Monday evening in the Kaggalipura limits. The CID forest cell also arrested Swamy, the manager of the farm house.

Interestingly, the source added that the police have become wary once the advocate's name arose in the case. 

"We have seized animals like a jackal pup, two star tortoises, one flap shell turtle, two parakeets and around 50 kilos of sandalwood. We handed over Swamy to the Kaggalipura police to register a case," said Balrame Gowda, Deputy Superintendent of Police, CID Forest Cell.

A case under the violation of the Wild Life Protection Act 1972, Karnataka Forest Act has been filed in this connection. Balrame Gowda further added that the advocate was approached by a team and explanation has been demanded by him. 

"The advocate has told that he has documents and we have asked him to furnish them in a day," he said.
