Shocking: Chinese mobile phone blast kills one

FollowOne youth died, and another one received severe injuries while riding a bike when a mobile they were carrying blasted. The incident took place on Tuesday, February 7, at Ramamurthy Nagar in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
Anil Kumar (20) who was riding the bike died and Karthik (18), the pillion rider was severely wounded and had to be admitted to the nearby hospital following the blast of a mobile. The deceased Anil was working in a courier company as a delivery boy.
Karthik in his statement had said that Anil’s mobile phone rang when he was riding a bike while he was seated in the back seat. Anil tried to receive the call while riding. At that time, there was a spark on the mobile handset and then blasted within seconds.
As the impact of the explosion, Anil lost his balance, and both of them fell from the bike. People who were present there took both of them to the nearby hospital. Anil sustained severe head injuries, and the doctors confirmed that Anil was brought dead.
The police have said that the mobile handset belongs to a Chinese company.
