Shivajinagar in lockdown for murdered RSS worker's funeral

Bengaluru city has been tense since the incident, with RSS workers staging protests, demanding the immediate arrest of the assailants.

Rudresh’s body was handed over to his family members after the post-mortem at Victoria Hospital in the city.

Currently, the body has been kept at his house at Milk Colony in Shivajinagar. Final rites will take place at Kalpalli crematorium near Byappanahalli at 4.30 pm today.

Section 144 has been imposed in and around Shivajinagar, and additional police force has been deployed to maintain law and order there as the situation is tense. More than 200 police personnel have been deployed.

Union Minister Ananth Kumar and MP PC Mohan are expected to visit Rudresh’s house at Milk Colony.
