Shah would have gone to prison if not for PM Modi

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah hit back at BJP President Amit Shah stating that Amit Shah was able to keep out of jail only because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Recently during the Ekta Samavesh, organised by BJP in Bengaluru Amit Shah criticised Karnataka as the most corrupt state in the nation. Siddaramaiah was responding to Amit Shah’s statement.

Siddaramaiah told the media that considering Amir Shah’s background, he had no moral grounds to question anybody.

“Amit Shah is accused in a murder case. Of course, now he is free from that accusation because somehow Narendra Modi became the prime minister. He misused Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and has protected Shah” he said.

Siddaramaiah  also mocked Shah and asked to first look at the people around, before making such a statement.

“Karnataka witnessed the most corrupt era during the time of Yeddyurappa. It is ridiculous that Amit Shah shares his seat with a politician who was jailed on corruption charges and talks about eradication of corruption” he commented.

In the Ekta Samavesh, BS Yeddyurappa had told that he’d have solved Cauvery and Mahadayi River disputes within 24 hours. Responding to that statement Siddaramaiah opined that Yeddyurappa’s statement is just a political gimmick.

“Mahadayi tribunal was formed in 2010, when he was in power. He was in power for three and a half years. Why was he inactive at that time?” he asked.

On the issue of demonetisation, he said that Modi has lost his charm and influence over the people by this move.

“The voters are going to teach them a right lesson in the next Lok Sabha election,” Siddaramaiah said.

He predicted that congress will rule the nation after the next election.

Senior BJP leader, KS Eshwarappa, responding to CM Siddaramaiah’s state said, that he  was “allergic to Modi.”

“The whole world wants to have friendship with Modi, except Pakistan and Siddaramaiah. Even Obama has said that Modi is the right man to control terrorism.  He is making such statements just to appease Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi” KS Eshwarappa, BJP Leader
