Hanumathappa and Nagabhushan of Chitradurga were on a tour when they decided to take selfies while crossing the Charmadi Ghat. The pictures ended up costing their life when they accidently fell off the cliff and died.

Hanumanthappa and Nagabhushan had recently visited Subramanya and Dharmasthala as part of a tour and were crossing Charmadi Ghat on their way back home. They stopped near the Anekhan Falls and wanted to take the selfie with the falls.

Both leant on the small wall by the roadside, but seem to have lost their balance and tumbled into a fatal fall.

Charmadi Ghat is one of the 'view points' in the Western Ghats and is 700 metres above sea level and features a 200-foot cliff.
