A Chennai-bound Jet Airways flight from New Delhi was delayed after two MPs from Tamil Nadu belonging to rival parties allegedly got into a scuffle. The incident took place around 2 PM on Saturday when flight 9W-854 was getting ready for departure, according to airport sources.

An AIADMK MP was travelling to Chennai on the flight, and a DMK MP was also scheduled to travel on that, PTI reports quoting sources. The DMK MP came to know about it and decided not to travel on the flight. The MPs met while returning to the check-in area and got into scuffle and the airport staff had to intervene, the source said.
However, the Delhi Police said it did not have any information regarding the incident.
