Sasikala to share a wall with India's first woman serial killer 'Cyanide Mallika'

Sasikala, 60, is lodged at the women's cell in the Central Jail. She is sharing the cell with her sister-in-law Ilavarasi.

 

Sasikala, who almost became the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, will be living close to K. D. Kempanna, alias "cyanide Mallika." Mallika was awarded death sentence for killing a dozen women.


Sasikala has been put up in cell number 2. According to a report in News18 along with other prisoners, Sasikala will be required to make candles everyday. 

 
At the  Parappana Agrahara central jail, Sasikala and Ilavarasi will be given three saris each. The AIADMK chief at the Bengaluru central jail has been registered as qaidi number 9235, while Ilavarasi is now prisoner number 9236. 
 


This is the second time, Sasikala has put up at the Parappana Agrahara central jail. She was lodged in 2014 with her nephew V N Sudhakaran and sister-in-law Ilavarasi. She then had spent 21 days in Parappana Agrahara central jail. The jail then had played host to Jayalalithaa as well.
