Speaking about the murder of Rudresh in Shivajinagar, BJP leaders termed it as a killing for political gains. All BJP leaders took part in the funeral and have demanded for an immediate probe in the incident. These developments have made Shivajinagar tense for the past two days.

As the murder was termed as an act of a community against RSS workers, all shops in Shivajinagar were closed. Section 144 was imposed on four police station limits in and around Shivajinagar.

Though the real reason for the killing of Rudresh in broad daylight is not known, Shivajinagar, which is usually bustling, became dead silent.

Political leaders are leaving no stone unturned to make the killing a high profile affair and to keep the situation tense in the city. But at the same time, common people, irrespective of caste and religion have expressed their concern in the matter.

Going one step ahead, as thousands of RSS workers gathered at Shivajinagar near the victim's house for funeral, the Muslim Community Hall close to the Rudresh's house gave them shelter and also ensured that about about a 1000 workers got drinking water.

"They are humans and we understand their sentiments. Many were standing in hot sun for hours together. We gave them place to rest. About 50 cans of water of 25 liters each was distributed among the RSS workers," said Tanveer, Proprietor, Elgin Community Hall.

Rudresh, a realtor, was murdered on Sunday by two bike-borne assailants, who first knocked him down from his bike and then attacked him. The incident took place on Kamaraja Road when Rudresh was returning home on a bike after attending a RSS meeting at a nearby area.
