Those who have watched the Malayalam blockbuster movie '1983' would never forget the bunny toothed Kannan, who played the son of the protagonist.

The little boy not only stole the show with his acting talent but played some fantastic knocks in the movie displaying his cricketing skills.

Now, if you thought Bhagath (his offscreen name) played the game because his character demanded so, well, here is the surprise, the boy is quite serious about the game and has now been chosen for the tournament under 14 category.

Through the selection, Bhagath has realised his father's long pending dream of becoming a cricketer. Bhagath's father is none other than director Abrid Shine the director of '1983'. Abrid Shine in many previous interviews had shared his passion for cricket and had said that the movie was based on his own life.

The movie inspired by the game and India's World Cup win in 1983 had actor Nivin Pauly playing the protagonist Rameshan who enlivens his dream of becoming a cricketer through his son.

Bhagath is a student of Sree Narayana Public School in Ernakulam and dreams of becoming a cricketer like the master blaster Sachin Tendulkar.
