Pulsar Suni visuals showed visuals of assaulted Malayalam actress to friends

Even though Kerala Police succeeded in arresting all the accused in the abduction of the popular Malayalam actress, the investigation team is yet to recover the mobile phone and memory cards used by Pulsar Suni, the main accused to record the visuals of assault on the film star. Now, the investigators are weighing other options to strengthen the case levelled against the culprits, even if they failed to find out that crucial electronic evidence.

The police officials handling the case have learned that Pulsar Suni had shown the visuals of to some of his friends after the incident. Manu, whom the accused visited the day after the assault on the actress, has reportedly told the police that Suni showed him the visuals a day after the incident.  The investigators are banking on this statement hoping that it would make up the want of material evidence. They also hope that they could corroborate it with statements of other accused in the case. Suni, allegedly showed the visuals to his gang members too.

Earlier, Pulsar Suni and his aide Vijeesh tried to mislead the police by informing that they threw the mobile phone to drainage canal near Vennala in Kochi city. The police pumped out the drain and searched extensively in vain. Then the accused told the police that they threw it into Vembanad Lake from a bridge in Kochi.

As the investigators were not in a position to leave out even a distant possibility of recovering the vital proof, they searched deep waters of the lake the other day with the help of expert divers from Indian Navy, without any result.

The investigation team had seized a mobile phone and a tablet from Suni’s Coimbatore hideout last week. But a detailed forensic examination would be needed to ascertain whether those devices were used to capture the visuals of the actress.

Meanwhile, there are rumours that the memory cards with the visuals of the assault were with some advocates close to Suni.

Suni had told police that he recorded the visuals to blackmail the actress for money. He had also confessed that it was his plan and nobody else was involved. But the police are not ready to take it at face value.

The state government had directed the investigators to recover the mobile phone and memory card/s immediately and to prevent a possible leaking of the visuals on the internet.
