Actress assault: Pulsar Suni’s aide arrested

In a major breakthrough, one of the accused and accomplices of the infamous Pulsar Suni in Malayalam actress’ abduction and assault case has been arrested on Monday, February 20.
Manikandan who is one of main accused in the case was arrested from Palakkad where he was hiding. He is believed to be one of the four-member gang involved in the harassment of the actress on the night of February 17.
Interestingly, on the same day of his arrest Manikandan, the main accused Sunil Kumar better known as Pulsar Suni and another accomplice VP Vigeesh filed anticipatory bail plea at Kerala High Court. All three of them are absconding after the incident. The Court will most likely hear the bail plea the next day, February 21.
On their plea, all the accused have claimed that they have been victimised and denied the allegations of attempted to blackmail and harassment of the actress. They accused have also requested the court to allow them to prove their innocence on the bail application.
According to reports, the advocate who filed the bail applications stated that all three absconding accused met him in person after the crime. He also confirmed that VP Vigeesh handed over the passport, identity card, mobile phone and purse which have been submitted to the magistrate.
