Police Suspects Pular Sunis involvement in sex trafficking

The investigation into the abduction and assault of a prominent Malayalam actress in a moving car has led Kerala police to suspect the involvement of prime accused Pulsar Suni in a human trafficking racker. Special Investigation Team (SIT) has found evidence of Suni's travels to Dubai using fake passports.

Earlier, P T Thomas MLA had alleged that the accused had travelled abroad on a fake passport and that he was indulged in human trafficking. The legislator said that he got the information from reliable sources and had filed a complaint with the Chief Minister to conduct a probe. He had also asked state government to investigate the allegations that Suni had earlier assaulted some other actors in a similar manner.

SIT has found that Suni possessed three passports and had travelled to Dubai frequently during 2013-14. The details came to light after police issued a look-out notice after he went into hiding after assaulting the actress, Manoramaonline reports.

It is suspected that Sunil Kumar alias Pulsar Suni was involved in a high-profile sex racket case which is being probed by CBI. The statements given by T A Rafeeq, A P Maneesh and Varghese Raphael, who were arrested in a Dubai sex racket case, had mentioned about the involvement of one Sunil Surendran, who was working as a driver in Dubai. The arrested persons were agents of Lissy Sojan, who was arrested in 2013, in a high-profile sex trade case.

According to the witness statement, Surendran was the kingpin of a racket and used to lure women, who were seeking a chance in film field, into flesh trade. Investigating authorities believe that Suni established links with people in film industry eyeing such preys.
Police also found that Suni had close links with K V Suresh, a native of Thrissur, who managed the sex racket.
