Watch: Police drag off Pulsar Suni as he tries to surrender in court

Despite the police launching a massive hunt across the state and in Tamil Nadu to catch Sunil Kumar alias Pulsar Suni, the prime suspect in the molestation of a popular Malayalam actress, dramatically surrendered before the Ernakulam Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) court on Thursday afternoon. 

But, a police team stationed at the court stormed into the court and forcefully took Pulsar Suni and his accomplice Vijeesh from inside the chambers of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate.

Pulsar Suni and Vijeesh ran into the chamber of the ACJM at 1. pm, but the magistrate was having lunch at that time, giving some time for the police to catch them from inside the chamber. The police caught them in the chamber, dragged them out to a vehicle and drove away. 

As per reports, Pulsar Suni and Vijeesh came on a motorbike to escape police attention and climbed the compound wall of the court. After climbing over the wall, the suspects ran into the magistrate's chamber without giving the police any chance to react. But Suni's plans failed as the ACJM was not in the seat at that time. 

After taking the suspects from the magistrate's chamber amid high drama, the police team took the duo to Aluva Police Club for questioning. The police had kept high vigil on the premises of all the courts in Ernakulam and Alappuzha districts to thwart his plans to surrender. 

The counsels of the suspects have cried foul that the police were acting against the law by forcefully arresting the suspects from the chamber of the ACJM. 

The dramatic incident took place when the special police teams were still searching for him across the state and in various pockets in Coimbatore. There were reports that Suni, former driver of the actress, narrowly escaped from being caught at Coimbatore on Wednesday.
