Pinarayi Vijayan strikes a perfect pose in communist China
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has become a star in China after he was featured in a painting exhibited at Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province. A painting featuring Communist Party of India (Marxist) CPM leader was shown at an exhibition titled 'Images of India.'Â
Â
The expo displays the work of three Chinese artists - Sun Gay, Jin Cheng and Jiyang Yuve. The young artists were inspired after their visit to South India.Â
Â
The painting 'Pinarayi Vijayan' features the assembly election scenario in Kerala.
Â
Pinarayi Vijayan himself posted a picture of the painting on his Facebook page. He said that one of his friends who visited the exhibition sent him a picture of the painting.
Â
"The painting features a scene of a strike in Kerala and its ambience with flags and writings. Though the writing on the flag is wrong (they might have miswritten CITU) the whole painting resembles the pre-election scenario in the state," Vijayan says. The writing on the flag in the painting is TUCI.Â
Â
Vijayan also thanked the artist and his friend Salim who sent the picture to him. It was PV Manoj, a Keralite in Indian Consulate who inaugurated the exhibition.Â
