Stung by criticism from Telugu superstar, Pawan Kalyan, and comedian Kapil Sharma on the same day that there are no happy days or achhe din as promised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP has come up with an out-of-the-box solution. The party has decided to ghost produce an action packed big budget Hindi-Telugu bilingual starring Pawan and Kapil, to be titled Achhe Din in Hindi and Happy Days in Telugu.

"We know Pawan Kalyan is angry that he has not seen happy days. We are aware that in Sardaar Gabbar Singh, his last film, he kept asking 'kitne aadmi the theatre mein' because there were hardly any. The film tanked at the box-office. But he is an invaluable friend. We will offer him Achhe Din,'' said a senior BJP leader.

Tenali Rama has learnt that Pawan and Kapil will play brothers who get separated in their childhood during the Godavari Pushkar in Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh and reunite when Modi becomes PM.

"We will show that during the UPA regime, the two brothers keep trying to find each other but because of corruption in the system, they are not able to,'' said a writer involved with the script.

Tenali Rama has learnt that in one of the scenes they even connect to each other over phone, but because the call drops, they are unable to meet. "It will immediately remind viewers of 2G scam,'' said the BJP leader.

But contrary to expectations, Pawan Kalyan who is keen on a special status, will only be offered a special financial package. "Let him not insist on special status, that won't be possible as Kapil Sharma will object. Instead under the special package, we will foot the entire bill on his vanity van, his travel, even the books and clothes he buys till 2020,'' said the BJP leader.

When Tenali Rama asked Pawan if he will accept the offer, the mercurial actor flared up.

"What do they think? That I don't have any paurusham (machismo). For the sake of a film role and a special package, I will stop criticising the BJP. No. No. I want all five crore Andhra brothers and sisters to be part of the movie,'' bristled Pawan Kalyan.

In view of Pawan's demand, Ashutosh Gowariker has been roped in to direct the film. "Put all the crowd at the Pushkar. That will take care of his demand,'' Venkaiah Naidu has suggested to Gowariker. "But more importantly, we want the film to reflect MODI. Modi means Maker Of Developed India. So you can start from Mohenjo daro and end at Amaravati. The interval can be Lagaan-like in Modiji's Bhuj in Gujarat.''

The PM who has been briefed about the movie, has suggested that the film should feature US President Barack Obama and him doing a guest appearance in a song.

"Mitron, that will give the film a special status, as Pawan desires. Then we can also release the movie in Hollywood. Think big Amit Bhai, Venkaiah garu. I will ask Barack for dates once he is no longer President after the November election,'' the PM told Naidu and Amit Shah.

Meanwhile, Kapil Sharma is reportedly miffed that the casting director asked him for Rs 5 lakh. "Mr Modi, is this your achhe din? You see, I pay Rs 15 crore in taxes. I even gave up my gas subsidy. Yet your man insists on deducting Rs 5 lakh as TDS,'' tweeted Kapil.

Meanwhile in an unrelated development, an activist of the Jana Sena who heard Pawan's speech in Kakinada on Friday has filed a complaint with the Andhra Pradesh Bureau of Food Adulteration stating that two stale laddoos have been given by Venkaiah Naidu to Chandrababu Naidu. "Pawan Anna said it very clearly about two stale laddoos in his speech. Action should be taken against Venkaiah Naidu for gifting stale laddoos. I hope Chandrababu Naidu does not eat them,'' he said.
