Panipuri power: Bengaluru street hawker Kitty turns international body builder
Krishna Murthy, now known as Kitty used to sell pani puri. Today he is an international body builder and trains stars like Yash, Prem and Ajay Rao. He was also a trainer for Dunkiya Vijay but the duo parted ways three years ago.
FollowFor Pani Puri Kitty, it has been a long journey that took him from the streets of Bengaluru where he used to sell 'Pani Puris' to the United States, where he stood fourth in the International Body Building Competition.
Krishna Murthy, who is popularly known Pani Puri Kitty, used to sell pani puri on the streets of Mahalakshmi Puram. Now after his success, he has been approached for training leading film personalities and even has been asked to choreograph few stunts in regional films.
At one point of time, selling pani puri was so important that Krishna Murthy could not run his family without it. But for his passion for body building, he would toil in morning hours at a gym. Murthy claims he was inspired by a police man who used to conduct bodybuilding competition. And as his interest grew Kitty was supported by his friends - Sudhakar.
As Kitty continued to pump up his body, he started participating in many competitions and soon he shot to fame when he participated in Mr World Bodybuilding competition. He came in second and since then there has been no looking back. In the last 17 long years he not only has improved his body but has also notched up his career graph.
Kitty is now a celebrity trainer and also has choreographed few stunt and has a chain of fitness centres under brand name Muscle Planet. Kitty refused to give up on his big dream even when surrounded by various challenges in life, instead of complaining as just another commoner on the street corner. Despite his reputation in body building circuit, he continues to sell "Pani Puri" at Mahalakshmi Layout in Bengaluru.
Many of his customers are his fans too who appreciate his dedication in life.
