The moral goons of Shiv Sena attacked young men and women with canes and showered them with the choicest abuses just 100 metres away from the office of the Inspector General of Police in Kochi. The brazen attack on the youth and the complacency of the police have triggered an outrage in the state, forcing Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who is also holding the Home portfolio, to admit 'a lapse' from the police.

In response to it, CM Pinarayi Vijayan admitted the lapse and assured stern action against the moral policing brigade and the police officials who looked on while the Shiv Sena workers went berserk.
