Kerala police have arrested a 28-year-old woman from Noida for luring men into marriage. Megha Bhargav, along with two accomplices were apprehended from Amrapali Zodiac in Noida Sector 120 on the basis of a complaint filed by one of her victims.

 


 Police say the woman usually chose divorcees or men with disabilities. She then married them in return of money and jewellery. After staying with the men for a few days, Bhargav disappeared with the fortune. 

 


Police traced Bhargav to New Delhi after Loren Justin, a resident of Kochi registered a complaint alleging that against wife decamped with jewellery worth ₹ 15 lakh a few days after their marriage.

 


During the investigation, it was found that Justin was the fourth person Bhargav had married in Kerala and she may have duped in total 11 men from Kerala, Pune, Mumbai, Rajasthan and Indore before. 

 


 Investigators also found that it was, in fact, Bhargav's husband Mahendra who targeted rich grooms for his wife and  Bhargav's sister Prachi and brother–in-law Devendra were also part of the plot. 

 


In a joint raid conducted by Kerala and Noida police except for Mahendra, Bhargav, her sister and brother in law were taken into custody.
