The book cover with old fashioned tea glasses and an old aluminium tea kettle turns one nostalgic and so does the 54 recipes that fill the 128-pages book. A dietician of a school, Nimi chose the snacks for the book after carefully weighing the health benefits of the dish.

"Our traditional Kerala recipes are a treasure that we are slowly losing. I wanted to preserve them and present them to a wider audience and this book is a small step towards that," says Nimi, who is a dietician at Tata High Range School at Munnar.

An avid food blogger, culinary demonstrator and freelance writer what sets Nimi apart from her peers is her unique talent to present her delicacies with perfection.

‘Lip-smacking Dishes of Kerala’ a book on authentic Kerala cuisine was selected as the third ‘Best Local Cuisine Book in the World’ at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2013 held in Beijing, China.

An Electronics and Communication diploma holder, Nimi discovered her taste for cooking after her marriage and soon began writing recipes for the blog - Nimy’s Culinary Ventures.
