Jaitley launches Kerala unit of NDA, releases vision document

NDA Kerala launched Vision document of BJP

 Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Saturday released the Darshan Rekha (Vision Document) of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) for Kerala Assembly elections. He also made the official announcement of the Kerala unit of the alliance at Thiruvananthapuram.
 

 The NDA Kerala unit comprises of 10 political parties. Besides BJP, the other prominent partners in the alliance are Bharat Dharma Jana Sena, a faction of Janadhipathya Samrakshana Sena, P C Thomas faction of Kerala Congress, Socialist Janata Dal and Janathipathya Rashtriya Sabha led by tribal leader C K Janu. 
 

The Vision Document envisages prohibition in a phased manner in the state.  Restrictions on liquor sale through the outlets of Beverages Corporation will be imposed if the NDA wins. The alliance proposes to bring in a purchase tab of 250 ml of alcohol per person. 
 

NDA promises: Schemes for triabal welfare, sustainable growth in agriculture sector and economy, Mannam scholarship for students, slum-free Kerala,land for the landless, job guarantee to tribal youth, and Rs 10,000 crore package for coastal area development among others

A series of proposals for tribal welfare, sustainable growth in agriculture sector and economy are also on cards.  Mannam scholarship for students, a project for slum-free Kerala, land for the landless, job guarantee to tribal youth, Interest-free loan for farmers and Rs 10,000 crore package for coastal area development are among the projects proposed. 

The document also promises to complete in seven years, an express corridor that would cut down travel time between the north and south of Kerala from 12 hours to just two hours. The document lays stress on the conservation of natural resources and promises to bring out a white paper on environmental issues.
