The commuters of Namma Metro commonly face the mobile network problems in the Metro stations and in the tunnels. Mobile networks are not be available even while travelling in the Metro trains.
Now in order to solve this problem, Namma Metro has decided to install mobile phone networks in 40 Metro stations. Now the work is in the last phase and it will be completed by April 2017.
Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) has allotted the work of installing the networks to American Tower Corporation (ATC). BMRCL is going to have an agreement with mobile service companies after the completion of the work.
Mobile networks are not available particularly in the tunnels where often the employees of BMRCL have to work throughout the day. Besides, the employees are not allowed to go out even to make a call while they are on duty. Now this initiative of BMRCL is going to facilitate the connectivity to both the employees as well as the commuters.
