Sumithra had married Ravi of Chapparadalli in Mysuru. But their relationship deteriorated, and the two were living separately. Sumithra has been living with her two children. Meanwhile, Ravi has been living at his relative Rajanna’s house.
As per the allegations, Ravi sold a plot of land to Rajanna. However, Sumithra was against the sale. The differences between the two has been a simmering feud for a while.
The issue turned into assault when Rajanna and his son started agricultural activities in the land. Disagreeing with the sale and the activity, Sumithra allegedly rushed to the area and tried to stop Rajanna from farming.
The verbal argument escalated into a physical assault when Rajanna and his son started beating Sumithra. Her husband Ravi, who was on the spot, did not interfere in the attack at all.
Currently, the injured Sumithra has been admitted to the government hospital in Piriyapatna. A case in this regard has been filed at Bettadapura Police Station.
