The Mysuru police have said that since a railway track was close to the court toilet, the suspicion arises that the bomb was meant for a train.
On the day of the blast, a train bound for Tirupati, which was due to pass by that location at the time, was late by 10 minutes.
The delay might have triggered a panic among the terrorists, and the bomber might have dumped the crude bomb in the toilet of the court, say police.
If there were a blast in the train, it would have led to a large loss of lives and become a major tragedy.
The train, scheduled to reach at 4.20 pm, was delayed and arrived at 4.30 pm to the Ashokapuram Railway Station on Monday.
Meanwhile, the investigation has gathered speed. Teams arrived from Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states to Mysuru to assess the similarity of the blast in their respective states. They have collected some vital information on the suspects.
Sources said that a sketch of the suspect is being prepared, considering the similarity of the bomb blast to incidents in other places.
