A mysterious female caller is giving big headache to Thiruvananthapuram City Police for more than a week now. The wireless message is aired on behalf of the City Police Commissioner with the secret code 'Cobra calling.'
On Sunday night, the police personnel on duty got the wireless message from 'Cobra' after 11 p.m. When the police officers responded to the message, the caller stammered and fell silent. Though the female night caller started sending curt meaningless messages for the past few days, the police chose to keep it a secret.
Now the police team suspects that either a police wireless set must have gone missing or somebody must be misusing the wireless machine of a higher official.
A Circle Inspector of Thiruvananthapuram had lost a wireless device in March this year during a violent protest in the city.
On a lighter tone, some police officers say that the ‘mysterious caller’ must have taken inspiration from the recent Mollywood superhit ‘Action Hero Biju’ in which a drunkard stumbles upon a police wireless set and starts giving instructions to the force.
