Venki alias Venkata Ramana, the photographer of the palace photo shoot, gave a written statement to the police on Wednesday claiming that he entered the Durbar palace only after security officials agreed to his request and allowed them to shoot for 10 minutes.

He further stated that he is innocent and did not know that this photo shoot is a violation of the law. He claimed to be ready to take face any legal action and to pay a penalty for the photo shoot. He also claimed that there were no caution flexes or instruction boards inside the premises.
The state police are however not satisfied with his statement. According to them, his statements are quite ambiguous and confusing because the couple has changed their dresses three or four times and it was not possible for anyone to change clothes within 10 minutes and shoot a video.
