On the pretext of visiting a relative the aunt took her niece to a deserted house The woman poked the teenager’s eyes with a safety pin and slashed her with a blade

For 14-year-old Sneha (name changed) did not think twice when her aunt Muniyamma came to collect her from school. She told Sneha that they would be going to visit a relative. On the way to the relative’s place, the ninth grader and her aunt took a detour and landed in a deserted house near Saathagalli, Mysuru.
Before the teenager could comprehend what was happening, Muniyamma began assaulting her. According to a report in Deccan Chronicle, Sneha has described the whole incident to the police.
After beating her, Muniyamma alias Annapoorna, tried to harm her further. Muniyamma pricked Sneha’s eyes with a safety pin and made several cuts on her body with a sharp blade. Stunned and shocked by what was happening to her, the girl lost consciousness.
It was only the next day that a passerby noticed the teenager lying unconscious and flagged down an autorickshaw which took her to hospital. The incident happened in Saathagalli, while Sneha is a resident of NR Mohalla.
Since the crime happened within the NR police station limits, the staff there have registered a case of kidnapping against Muniyamma. Police is now investigating the motive behind the crime. Sneha has injuries all over her body and serious wounds in both eyes. She is being treated at Chaluvamba Children’s Hospital.
