MK Stalin meets TN Governor

Amidst the power struggle between AIADMK’s O Panneerselvam and Sasikala for the position of Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, opposition DMK’s Working President MK Stalin met Tamil Nadu Governor Vidyasagar Rao on Friday, February 10, and offered another proposition to resolve the crisis.

In this meeting, the leader of the opposition submitted a memorandum proposing ‘an alternate government according to the norms of the constitution’. This letter briefly describes the political turmoil the coastal state facing at the moment and requested the ‘Governor to look into the developing situations closely and seek early intervention to ensure a democratically and constitutionally valid government in time’.

The opposition party of Tamil Nadu through this letter also called for ‘a free and fair floor test’ as per constitutional provisions and Supreme Court norms promulgated in the SR Bommai case.
