The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team has found the body of actor Uday Raghav from the Thippagondanahalli dam. The body was found after 48 hours of search operations. The body was found floating exactly at the spot where he had fallen.
The family of Uday, whose body has been found, is inconsolable. The post-mortem of the body was conducted near the dam. Currently Uday’s body has been sent home and preparations are being made for his final rites at the crematorium in Banashankari.
However, the search is on for the body of actor Anil, who jumped into the dam along with Uday.
Meanwhile, the producer of the movie Sundar was arrested on Tuesday and director Nagashekhar has been arrested today.
The tragic incident occurred on November 7 at 2.45 pm, when the crew of Masti Gudi Kannada film was shooting the climax and jumping into the dam from a helicopter.
Anti-heroes of the film, Uday and Anil jumped first, followed by hero Duniya Vijay. While Vijay was wearing the life jacket, Uday and Anil were not wearing any safety clothing. Apparently, both did not know to swim.
The diesel boat, which was supposed to get the three, failed to start, and the actors started drowning. By the time a small manually rowed boat reached the spot, hero Vijay had managed to swim and hold on as he was wearing the life jacket but Uday and Anil vanished.
