The Karnataka Film Chamber Chairperson Sa Ra Govindu announced his decision to ban Vijay, Nagashekhar and Ravi Varma after a meeting on Wednesday evening.
The police have arrested Nagashekhar, director of the film Masti Gudi on Wednesday evening. Sudar, producer of the film was arrested on Tuesday.
A non-bailable case was filed against the five persons from the Masti Gudi crew. A criminal case has been booked against producer Sundar Gowda, director Nagashekhar, stunt director Ravi Varma, assistant stunt director Bharat in this regard.
Raghav Uday and Anil were playing the anti-heroes in the film. In the climax of the film, both had to jump along with hero Duniya Vijay into the dam. No safety measure was given as both had to jump into water without any life jacket, nor any boat was placed near by. Hero Duniya Vijay escaped as he was wearing a life jacket.
The tragic incident took place on November 7 at 2.45 pm at Thippagondanahalli Dam. The body of one of the actors-Uday was found on Wednesday after a search of 48 hours. Meanwhile search is on for the body of Anil.
The police have provided tight security around the house of Uday, whose final rites will be performed soon.
