‘Conline’ fun club: Sex outside, scam inside

 

A club named Telebiz network also has a website called Oyetrivia. It claims to arrange events and is all about friendship and dating.

 

A bulk message is sent to mobile phones, and when the call is made to the service, the girls answer the calls only to narrate about the sex service. Interestingly, these clubs also have memberships and monthly packages.

 

The clubs are headquartered in Kolkata and the callers are well aware of posh places in the city like Koramangala, Indiranagar, Banaswadi, Whitefield, Yelahanka, Jayanagar and BTM Layout. Their suggestion list contains this information for places of possible meet-ups.

 

 

When the Asianet Newsable reporter called up the service, a lady who identified herself as Isha told him that this was purely a fun club where the callers would help males hookup with fancy and high-society women and also do the same for women who were looking for posh male companionship. The Friendship & Dating club, as advertised, has more of a deeper connotation.

 

"All our clients are like family members, who would like to explore more fun. The fun comes at a cost. First a person has to take membership and once the membership gets activated, two numbers will be shared along with photographs of beautiful women," explained Payal, another telecaller from the club.

 

 

She also shared bank account details saying once the Rs 3,500 is deposited for a six months package, the membership will be activated and two womens numbers will be shared. She said: "These women in our network are not ‘sex workers’ but all are professionals. Their husbands are away from home most of the time and they just want to fulfill their desires and so we just facilitate (sic)."

 

When asked about the genuineness  and safety of the whole meeting, the caller assured that they are well networked and will have address of only those ‘Madams’ who have their own house. So, the question of a police raid happening is highly improbable.

 

After hearing and investigating so many cases of sex trafficking and other similar cons in Bengaluru, a senior officer from the Cyber Crime Wing said, “These types of services are very dangerous . Firstly, they may cheat by taking money, secondly there are chances of blackmailing. People should be careful and should not fall in the trap.”

 

That does not go to say that there are no such clubs operating, after Asianet Newsable's expose on the massage parlours in Bengaluru, the activity and the network has gone undercover and are looking for other venues of operating. 

 

The club does operate as a money making scam wherein people lured by the prospect of interacting with young women and men agree to share bank accounts, personal details, pay the registration amount etc. Here’s an example of some of the people lured by these ‘fun’ clubs.
