A Congress legislators’ meeting to decide how they were going to stand on KJ George’s resignation was held in the morning. It ended at around 10.45 a.m. In the meeting, the MLAs resolved to support KJ George.

Sources say that CM Siddaramaiah has instructed all the MLAs to stand in support of KJ George. “Why the legislators and ministers are not talking in the Assembly? Even the leaders of high command are observing closely the developments in the state and are seeking an explanation from us. The opposition parties may try to corner the government. We must always protect the interests of minorities,” he said.
In the meeting, the CM expressed his angst against those who are not obeying the orders of the high command. Srinivasa Prasad, Ambareesh and other rebel leaders were not present in the meeting.
Dinesh Gundoorao, KPCC leader spoke to the media and said that all the MLAs (who were in the meeting) are with the CM and KJ George. “The Opposition may ask for justice and truth to be revealed. Our interest is not to protect anyone. Even the Congress also values justice and truth. But mere allegations cannot be the evidence of any crime,” said Rao.
