Four arrested for rape of minor girl in Kerala

Kerala police on Friday arrested four persons, including a woman, for sexually abusing and blackmailing a minor girl, using her morphed photograph. The arrested are identified as Sijimol, 42, Aneesh, 35, Siraj and Unnikrishnan, 35. The police are on a lookout for another accused Jinto, 42, a native of Kottayam. 

The 15-year-old  girl was missing since June 20, and the parents had filed a complaint with the police. The police found the girl on June 22. During the medical examination, it was found that the girl was repeatedly raped. 

The girl became friends with Siraj through mobile conversations, and he later began to threaten her using her morphed photograph. She was then lured to the house of Sijimol. From there she was taken to a hotel at Ernakulam and Vaikom, and Sijimol and Jinto posed as her parents. The minor girl was repeatedly raped at various hotels and the gang later abandoned her. The police found the girl near the Taluk Hospital in Vaikom.

The arrested were remanded in police custody.
