Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will present the budget, which will be his 12th presenatation, at the Vidhan Soudha on Wednesday. The industrial sector of the state will be hoping that the CM will make things easier for them in the forthcoming budget.

Here are 5 things that the industrial sector of Karnataka can expect from the budget 2017:

  • Bengaluru has had its fair share of infrastructure issues and the CM will look to bridge that gap between growth and infrastructure in the city.

  • Siddaramaiah might not tax the industrial sector this time as it will be his last budget ahead of the state elections which is supposed to be held next year.

  • The CM has faced a lot of criticism for not delving much into this sector. Therefore, he might just come up with some good news on Wednesday to prove his critics wrong.

  • CM might persuade the industry owners to move to areas like Devanahalli, Bidadi and Nelamangala.

  • Urban development, revenue, and law might be the three key areas that the CM might focus on in budget 2017.
