The UDF representatives met K M Mani on 21st May seeking the support of his party Kerala Congress (M) for the Chengannur bypoll election in the state. The UDF leaders requested Mani to rejoin the UDF party at the meeting held in Mani’s residence in Pala.

In reply to that, Mani said his party could only take that kind of decisions. He also said a discussion could be scheduled about this matter on 22nd May. 

The meeting included former chief minister Oommen Chandy, P K Kunhalikutty, MP; leader of the opposition Ramesh Chennithala and KPCC president M M Hassan. Kerala Congress (M) chairman K M Mani and Jose K Mani held talks with the UDF leaders.

KM Mani, after the meeting, spoke to the reporters and he said sub-committee of his party would conduct a session on the 22nd morning at 10:30 am and decide about the return to the party.

The UDF party is waiting for the excellent news that KM Mani will join them and extend support in the Chengannur election.
