Sudhakaran is Sasikala’s nephew and was adopted by Jayalalithaa for a year in 1995. He is the co-accused in the disproportionate assets case along with Jayalalithaa and his relative Ilavarasi.

After the medical examination inside the Parappana Agrahara, Sudharan will proceed for other legal procedures before being lodged inside the cell allotted to him. As Sasikala herself was not allowed any special provisions, it is likely that even Sudhakaran will not be given VVIP treatment.

It is interesting that Jayalalithaa had adopted Sudhakaran just for a year. Jaya had adopted Sudhakaran on the advice of Sasikala in 1995. His marriage was fixed with actor Sivaji Ganesan’s daughter, and as a mother, Jayalalithaa had conducted the wedding in grandeur spending at least Rs 100 crore. This wedding led to criticism against her.

Soo, Jayalalithaa learnt that Sudhakar was misusing her and had amassed a large amount of her property in his name. This enraged her and resulted in disowning him.
