National Intelligence Agency (NIA), which busted the Islamic State (ISIS) module in Kerala, has learned during investigations that terrorist outfit owned a blog in Malayalam. The blog was operated by ISIS Kerala wing Ansar-al Khilafah. This is the second website owned by the Ansar-al Khilafah and the first one was in English.

The blog was started in 2015 with the aim to spread the ideas of ISIS.

The blog was withdrawn in July, 2016, following doubt that investigation agencies are looking into it. Though it reappeared later, the address was given only to those who used to contact through Telegram. Group members were also asked not to reveal the blog address to outsiders.

Malayalam blog has several articles on the importance of Jihad. They also ask members not to fall prey to news against ISIS. Some of the articles severely criticise Islamic leaders in Kerala.

The last update is on 1 October, the day before six persons were arrested in Kannur, suspected with links to ISIS. Mansid, who is suspected to be the leader of the ISIS Kerala module, has also written articles in the blog.
