IS links Keralite killed in US bombing in Afghanistan

Another missing youth from Kerala, who is suspected to have joined Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist outfit has been reportedly killed in a drone attack in Afghanistan. The relatives of the youth got the news about his death via Telegram message. 
 

Murshid Mohammed, a native of Padanna, is suspected to have died during an airstrike launched by the United States in Achin near Nangarhar province in Afghanistan. 
 

"The exact date is not known. The message was from an unusual source. We don't have any details," Rahman, an Indian Union Muslim League leader and social activist from the area said. 
 

Murshid was one among the 22 Keralites who went missing and were suspected to have joined ISIS in Syria. 
 

However, intelligence agencies have not confirmed the report and asked family members to keep the message themselves till verified. If confirmed this will be the second casualty in the group who left the state to join IS. 
 

Earlier, in February, Hafeesudeen T K, also from Padanna was killed in a drone attack in Afghanistan.
