Jolt to Congress: Ambareesh likely to join BJP?

Sources from Mandya District Congress Committee say that Ambareesh is likely to join BJP anytime. There is displeasure among Vokkaliga community across the state towards congress for not consenting proper representation of the community inside the party.

In the month of June, 2017 Ambareesh had resigned from MLA position of Mandya constituency as he was disregarded by CM Siddaramaiah during the reshuffling of cabinet. At that time even his wife Sumalatha had expressed her displeasure towards Congress for ignoring her husband.

Often the leaders of all the parties reshuffle and change their parties when the Assembly elections approach. Now Karnataka Assembly elections are scheduled in the beginning of 2019 and these kinds of rumours are gaining significance.

 

Changing of political party is not new to Ambareesh. He recognized himself with JDS in the beginning of his political career. Later he joined congress. Now the Mandya Congress workers are gossiping about his interest towards BJP. However Ambareesh has not announced anything officially with this regard.

 

Already SM Krishna has left Congress, now congress would surely lose the support of Vokkaliga community if Ambareesh also goes out from the party. If Ambareesh also comes out, then the congress will make every effort to attract Vokkaliga leaders from other parties.

 

The possibility of voters disregard towards their leaders for their inconsistent stand cannot be denied. The voter has rejected Ambareesh in several elections due to his indecisiveness.

In that case DK Shivakumar has a bright future to grow as a mass leader as well as the leader of vokkaliga community, as SM Krishna, the influential Vokkaliga leader in Congress, has vacated the place.
