Ali Khan of Badruddin Colony in Bidar had challenged Hafiz Saeed, co-founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba and the chief of Jamaat-ud-Daawah, to come before the media and speak. He had even said that if Modi gives permission, he would go to the border and tackle Saeed. A video of his speech went viral on social media.
Following this, Hafiz Saeed supporters have contacted Ali Khan’s son, working as an engineer in Dubai, and have threatened him with dire consequences, including murder.
Some people have sent him WhatsApp messages saying, “Your father has spoken against Hafiz Saeed. You might have to pay for it with your life.”
Scared by the developments, Ali Khan has requested the district superintendent of police to protect his son.
Ali Khan is the state president of Karnataka Tigers outfit in Bidar. In the video, he had warned Saeed of action if he continued to be provocative against India.
