Sachin's new look: When in Kerala, clad in 'Mundu'
- Sachin was in Kochi on Wednesday to promote his ISL team Kerala Blasters and introduce the new consortium of investors in the team.
- The Indian Sports League (ISL) is scheduled to kick off in the first week of October this year.
- The opening game will be played in Guwahati between North East United FC and Kerala Blasters FC.
FollowWith the Onam fervour all around in Kerala, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, who was in Kochi on Wednesday to promote his team Kerala Blasters, had a surprise in store for his fans. Sachin, co-owner of Kerala Blasters, along with industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad, actors Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna and Allu Aravind appeared in traditional white Kerala mundu (Dhoti).

 Among the film stars, the cricket legend grabbed more eyeballs when he started his address in Malayalam with a hearty 'Namaskaram'.

The former cricketer also introduced Prasad, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna and Aravind as the new franchisee co-owners of the Kerala Blasters. Mollywood actor Nivin Pauly was announced the youth ambassador of the team.

Season-3 of the ISL football would be held from October 1 to December 18, with the opening game planned in Guwahati.  Kerala Blasters team would fly to Thailand on Wednesday night for practice sessions.
