Opposition parties have been alleging that chief minister Chandrababu Naidu is planning to award hefty contracts to companies from Singapore. 

Charging that Naidu had vested interests in several Singapore companies, the opposition YSR Congress alleged that the 'Swiss Challenge' method used to choose the developer, which in now under scrutiny in the Hyderabad High Court, is designed such that a few Singapore-based companies would invariably bag the contract.

Chief Minister Naidu countered the allegations, claiming it was an attempt to scuttle the 'world-class' capital construction project. 

The ruling Telugu Desam Party has, in turn, accused the YSR Congress of being anti-development and anti-people and trying to stall capital construction. 

Amid this raging controversy and extraordinary hype, the Andhra government has prepared designs for the capital city's various districts and the iconic High Court. 

The inner Capital is being created with the growth of next 100 years being considered. Naidu claims that his dream city would become one of the top five cities in the world...once developed fully. 

All prestigious private institutes, industrial houses, universities and health and medical institutes are being invited to the capital region to set up their facilities.
